CALL TO SERVICE
Please prayerfully consider becoming a
sponsor; applications are available on our web site. Also, prayerfully consider
whether you would like to serve on a team or perhaps your talents are more
administrative and you would like to be considered for a board position. Your
help is needed at the reunions, support parties, and weekends.
HELP
NEEDED
1.
Prayer is
needed for the upcoming Koinonia weekend.
2.
CHURCHES
Needed:
We need places to host reunions; they are held on the 2nd
Saturday of every month. Please contact Randy Menges if for more information
about becoming a host church or if you have an interest participating in a
reunion.
3. The kitchen trailer needs items such as paper goods. Contact Karmel Yelle if you can help with any of these items.
4.
Some of the items in
the trailer need to be replaced ..... such as toiletry items for the
upcoming weekend. We would appreciate any and all donations of travel
size toiletry items: toothpaste, toothbrush, bar-soap, mouthwash, shampoo,
combs, and other stuff you can think of. There will be a donation
box at the October Support Party or contact Frank Juszli (614 326-9058) to
make some arrangements.
5. After putting on a weekend you’re tired and it makes for an even longer day if you have to pack the trailer and clean up also. The Warden coordinator needs “a few Good Men or Women” who could commit to attending the closing and helping breakdown and clean up after the weekend. With enough volunteers this should take over an hour. Prayerfully consider this and call Frank Juszli to help.
6. Prayerfully consider being a sponsor. Koinonia exist to serve the Christian community by sharing God’s love and grace with others and to raise up individuals who can energies their local church.

Reunion
September 8, 2007
New Hope
Church
Gather at
6:30, Start at 7:00 PM
Lovell and Theresa Harper will be hosting this event!
Lovell has been asked to bring a word from the
Lord….Halleluia!
A time of personal ministry will follow.
This is your opportunity to
be refreshed, renewed, and refired!
Please
join us in prayer as we approach September 8, as we believe this will be a
special time for all who attend as well as the body of Christ! Pray for
Lovell and Theresa as they prepare for our RE-Union, and the body of Koinonia.
Come,
let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is
our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.
Psalm
95:6-7
Dear Home Team,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ. I’m honored and privileged to
have been chosen to be the next Rector for our upcoming weekend, CK-116. The dates and location for our next
out-pouring-of-love, Jesus-centered weekend are October 19-21, 2007, at Geneva
Hills in Lancaster, Ohio. According to
the “old-timers” of Columbus Koinonia, this facility was used in years past,
however, in the ten years that I’ve personally been involved with Columbus
Koinonia we’ve not used this facility.
So I’m excited to go to a
“new” placeJ
I’ve been in prayer seeking the Lord’s guidance as to
whom He’ll have to serve on my team.
Thus far, several positions have been filled, and I’m expecting to have
the whole team together very shortly. I
trust He will put together an AWESOME team of people who have a servant’s
heart. If you aren’t called to serve on
the “Weekend Team”, I want to personally invite you to serve on the “Home
Team”. The Home Team is just as
important as the Weekend Team, if not more.
Come out to the Support Party,
Saturday, October 13th at 6:30 p.m.
It will be held at First-Love Community Church, 251 Hillview Dr. S.W.,
Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. For directions, go to: www.first-love.com You’ll have an opportunity to sign the
banners, enter your name on the Prayer Wheel, volunteer to bring food for the
weekend snack table, Praise and Worship God for what He’s preparing to do,
bring Love Mail for the participants, and rally around the weekend team and
pray for us as we prepare to serve with excellence. Regarding the Prayer Wheel – I’d like to see sooooooo many people
at the Support Party that each 1 hour time slot will have 2-3 people listed to
prayJ Oh, by the way, Linda Litt is my Assistant
Spiritual Director, and she’s responsible for ensuring the Prayer Wheel is
filled with names. If you’re at the
Support Party, and your name isn’t listed on that wheel….she will hunt you
down!J
There are a few more areas in which you can be
involved as a Home Team member: The Saturday evening Serenade. Come down to Geneva Hills and serenade the
participants. I’d like them to think that
there is a choir of angels behind the curtain.
Next, the Sunday afternoon “Breakthrough”. Come and introduce yourself to the participants and welcome them
into our Columbus Koinonia family.
Lastly, the Closing Ceremony.
Again, I’d like to see the room packed with people……standing-room only
would be GREAT! So you see - the Home
Team has a lot of responsibilities as well.
There are only 7 short weeks left until CK-116. There’s still a lot to do. Be in
pray and seek the Lord as to whom you’ll sponsor, and get their applications in
as quickly as possible. The weekend
cost is $80.00 per person. One half is
due with the application; and the balance due prior to the weekend. Jim Litt, Treasurer on the Board writes out
the check to the camp before the weekend begins, and the Head Kitchen person
purchases the food for the main meals prior to the weekend, so that’s why it’s
important to get the money in as soon as possible. Stand in agreement with me for 30 participants for the
weekend. God is doing something very
special with Columbus Koinonia and more people need to be exposed to His agape
love. Mail completed applications to:
Shirley Riser, Pre-K Coordinator, 1210 Hanson St, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. Remember, get the applications in soon.
There are a lot of people who have been inactive in
Koinonia for quite a long time. I have
a small request. Contact 3-5 of those
folks, and extend an invitation to them from me to come to the Support
Party. Let’s pack out the place on
October 13th!!!
Thank you in advance for you efforts!
Many blessings to all of you. I look forward to seeing you at the Support
Party, Saturday, October 13th at 6:30 p.m., at First-Love Community
Church in Reynoldsburg.
