February
Weekend Cancelled
We regret
the February Koinonia weekend had to be cancelled due to a number a factors not
the least of which was, we had no participants.
CALL
TO SERVICE
Please
prayerfully consider becoming a sponsor; applications are available on our web
site. Also, prayerfully consider whether you would like to serve on a team or
perhaps your talents are more administrative and you would like to be
considered for a board position. The nominating committee will be forming soon
to nominate board members for the next biennium. Board members serve for two
year and half the board is replaced every year. This year the committee will be selecting nominees for Spiritual
Director, Treasurer, Pre-K, Facilities, and Warden Coordinators. The
nominations will be voted on at the June Business meeting.
HELP
NEEDED
1. Prayer
is needed for the upcoming Day of Renewal.
2. The
kitchen trailer needs food items such as coffee. Contact Karmel Yelle if you
can help with any of these items.
3. After
putting on a weekend you’re tired and it makes for an even longer day if you
have to pack the trailer and clean up also. The Warden coordinator needs a few
“Good Men or Women” who could commit to attending the closing and help breakdown
and clean up after the weekend. With enough volunteers this should not take
over an hour. Prayerfully consider this and call Tom Marshall to help.
4.
Prayerfully consider being a sponsor. Koinonia exist to serve the Christian
community by sharing God’s love and grace with others and to raise up
individuals who can energize their local church.

Koinonia Day of Renewal! In
response to the desires of the Koinonia Body, we are pleased, (and excited),
to hold a special Day of Renewal and Restoration! Have you ever felt like you need a day to just get
away from the world, and spend time with your Lord and with your spiritual
family and friends? Are you searching for the “more” in praise and
worship? Longing for a deeper
relationship with Jesus, longing to get to know Him better? Do you feel called to prayer and intercession with
the body of Christ? Would you like to party and revel in His love with
abundant joy? If so, then we have the Party for you! Please join us for a….. Count It All Joy Party! Saturday ~
February 17, 2007 11AM To 8PM Berlin Presbyterian Church 5175
South Old State Road Lewis
Center, Ohio 43035-9254 Pastor
Rick Negley Bring your
flags! Bring your

$15.00 per person RSVP: Please
call Deb Allen if you are interested in attending or have any questions. 614-861-3062 Sorry,
no childcare is available for this event. |
So you are wondering, what is a
Count It All Joy Party? Well, I will
try to explain. James 1: 2-3 My brethren, count it
all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your
faith produces patience. 1 Peter 1:8-9 Though you have not
seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe
in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are
receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. Joy is described as: the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the
prospect of possessing what one desires, the expression or exhibition of such
emotion, a state of happiness or felicity, a source or cause of delight Therefore, we will rejoice in our
salvation!
A Count It All Joy Party is a journey!
Imagine going on a journey as a corporate body of believers, together
in unity. Together we will swim in the River of Life which flows
from the very Throne of our Heavenly Father.
Together we will drink from
the Cup of Life, and stop to rest in
green pastures. Together we will climb the Mountain of the Lord.
Together we will ascend to the
Throne Room where we will “tabernacle
with our Lord”. Together we will seek His Face, and in the stillness of
His presence, bask in His
Glory. Together we will dance and rejoice in His Love. Together we will descend in intercession and
warfare. Together we will “experience His Freedom” from the
bondages of humanity! I am at a loss to describe A Count It All Joy party
any other way. As our sister Aggie
Long says, “if we will just be there,
God will show up”! Unlike a
weekend where we must adhere to a schedule, this event will be a little
different. At times it will seem as
if we turn a page, and nothing is written.
No instructions, just the leading of precious Holy Spirit. After much prayer, those who have been
laboring over this event all know the Lord has something very special planned
for us. So please join us, bring a friend, and invite your pastor! Abundant Shalom!
